Sometimes clients will ask for a "Deep tissue" massage.

Some will ask, "What is Deep tissue massage?".

There are clients that believe that massage has to hurt to be effective.

There are places of discomfort found in the body during massage.

It is important for the client to speak up and let the therapist know when this occurs!

The therapist can guide the client through what is happening and adjust the session to ease the pain response.

The goal of "Deep Tissue Massage" is to slowly address deeper layers in the body to release tension, stuck tissue, immovable joints, and pain. Not to cause more pain!

Various tools can be used to achieve the results such as Hydrotherapy ( moist heat pads, ice or both & Hot Stones), cupping, scraping, and stretching

Massage should create balance in the body!
